Scott believes that good counseling is built upon a safe and secure relationship that nurtures a client’s sense of agency and dignity. His approach is to work from a relational basis, and empower the client through an integrated approach that includes interpersonal, cognitive, emotional, and if welcomed, spiritual aspects. Scott has worked in individual and couples counseling, helping clients with relationship issues, anxiety, stress, grief, family dysfunction, and various forms of trauma. He offers a willingness to engage in a creative therapeutic process, and he is comfortable with difficult matters, providing a non-judgmental environment for safe discussion. Scott has a special interest in understanding various streams and expressions within popular culture, and applying them for the benefit of counseling.
